The opening ceremony of the 26th Gulf Cup Championship began in the State of Kuwait a short while ago.

The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said: The opening ceremony of the 26th Gulf Championship, which is being held in the State of Kuwait, started this evening.

He added that our national team will play its first match in the championship tomorrow, Sunday, against the Yemeni team.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani directed the purchase of the rights to the matches of the 26th Gulf Championship to broadcast them to the Iraqi public through the media network channels and other channels.

It is noteworthy that the national team was crowned champion of the 25th edition, which was held in Basra Governorate.
