Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein announced that the fourth round of strategic dialogues between Iraq and the United States will be the last, while noting that it will witness an agreement on scheduling the US withdrawal.
"There are no US bases in Iraq. The US troops are in Iraqi camps, not US camps," said Hussein in a statement to Al-Iraqiya News TV, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).
He pointed out that "the current US administration understands the situation in Iraq in a way that contradicts the previous administration," noting that "the meeting of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi and US President Joe Biden will discuss the overall Iraqi-US relations,"
Hussein suggested, "Iraq and US will return to the 2008 agreement after the end of the rounds of dialogue," stressing that "the terrorist organization Daesh still poses a threat and we need US intelligence support,"
