No one disagree on the importance of the strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States, as it represents vital understandings related to fundamental matters that have positive repercussions in the near future.
Analysts believe that the strategic dialogue with the Washington administration has achieved a qualitative leap in defining the relations between the two parties.
Political science professor Ihssan Al-Shammari says in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "one of the gains made for Baghdad from the third round of the strategic dialogue with Washington is communication with Baghdad as institutions, and this round has a specificity because it is the first dialogue through which the form and content of the relationship is presented according to the strategic framework Pointing out that "one of the very important acquisitions is the issue of re-characterization of the American forces, and there is an American understanding that Iraq does not need combat forces and the continued partnership between Iraq and the United States of America in many economic, security, military and health fields.
He added, "All these matters are in the interest of Iraq, and this in itself is a very big gain, because Iraq needs partnerships with the major countries, and the United States of America is one of the countries that, by demarcating the relationship with it according to the strategic agreement, can constitute a positive factor on the inside of Iraq." He pointed out that "the quiet diplomacy that the current government is pursuing has made many gains, especially with regard to the absence of combat forces and the re-appropriation of the tasks of the US forces, and this diplomacy is the one that succeeds unlike other policies."
As for the security expert, Ahmed Al-Sharifi, he believes that the success of the dialogue round led to the opening of Iraq regionally, indicating that "there are significant developments in this round of dialogue, because it led in one way or another to the openness of Iraq."
he also added: "We were describing the previous rounds as an industrial dialogue between the United States and Iraq, but in this particular round there was a dialogue that leads to regional and international openness and will establish a new international region in which Iraq will be the most important axis in the field of energy, line crossings and strategic transportation."
the relationship with Washington will complement the artistic and cultural level, and in terms of military and security institution, it will be set up technical committees to study the reality of upgrading the combat capabilities and armament of the Iraqi army and combat skills commensurate with the challenge stage and the role that will play Iraq internationally and regionally. "

Sharifisaid: " We are in front of administration A successful dialogue by the Iraqi government will lead to positive results, because Iraq has started a new line that will change the economic, security and military reality in the next stage. "

Political science professor Najm Al-Ghazi describes the round of strategic dialogue with Washington as a programmed round of scheduling in the agreement that was signed in 2011 to review this agreement, adding that "the issue in this regard is the attempt of the Iraqi government and perhaps even the US government during this period to ease tension and congestion.

" "The goal of the Iraqi government is to get the American forces out, and it is serious about keeping what Iraq needs from the US forces only for training and advice," affirming that "there is an American understanding of this issue."
He pointed out that "the political messages are more important than the security messages in this agreement, because the number of forces, their entry and exit is subject to an evaluation of the situation, the evaluation of the American administration or the evaluation of the operations leadership, especially in the Middle East region," explaining that the "current situation" needs some kind of de-escalation of tension. Especially since the Americans withdrew aircraft carriers and some pieces of warfare from the area, and the military forces came mainly at the request of the Iraqi government.
Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi confirmed, earlier, that the results of the third round of the strategic dialogue are a gateway to restore the normal situation in Iraq.
Al-Kadhimi said in his tweet that "the results of the third round of strategic dialogue are a gateway to restore the normal situation in Iraq, and what Iraq deserves, and it is an achievement that we congratulate on our peace-loving people."
He added, "Dialogue is the right way to solve crises. our people deserve to live in peace, security and prosperity, not conflicts, wars, fugitive weapons and adventures."
