The First Deputy Speaker of the Iraqi Parliament, Hassan Al-Kaabi, pledged to adopt the legislation of the Oil Producing provinces Fund.
Al-Kaabi said in a meeting held to find out the repercussions of the salt tide and projects in Basra province, attended by the reporter of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), I will adopt the legislation of the draft law of the Oil Producing provinces Fund.
Al-Kaabi added, financial potentiality of the federal ministries is many times greater than of the provinces, especially in the service fields, noting that implementing the projects still lagging due to the security situation and financial funding.
Al-Kaabi called on the Ministry of Water Resources to increase the exceptional water releases during the current two months, to overcome the salt-tide crisis in Basra.
Al-Kaabi also addressed the Ministry of Oil to provide the Ministry of Water Resources with sufficient fuel to operate the Al-Badaa and PC stations.
