The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fouad Hussein, called today, Friday, for the importance of achieving integration and fruitful and constructive cooperation between the legislative and executive authorities.
A statement by the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "Hussein touched, during the hosting he attended in the House of Representatives, which was called by the Parliamentary Foreign Relations Committee in the presence of the advanced angel in the leadership of the ministry, to discuss several files that the Parliamentary Committee considers the importance of discussing them with the minister, and to provide clarifications".
The statement added that "Hussein provided a full explanation of these files, and spoke about the outcomes of the strategic dialogue rounds with Washington, and touched upon the ministry's policy within the directions of the government curriculum, and the national constants of Iraq."
He pointed out that "the minister reviewed the premises and priorities of foreign policy at this stage, which is based on balance and achieving common interests."
Hussein stressed, according to the statement, that "the ministry aims to establish and deepen Iraqi relations on the basis of common interests and common risks, stressing the need for complementary work, the formulation of national diplomatic performance, and continuous consultation between the executive and legislative authorities to contribute to strengthening Iraq's relations."
