The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed on Tuesday its solidarity with Iraq and its people over the fire incident at Al-Hussein Hospital in Dhi Qar province.
The Ministry said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): We express our deep sorrow for the fire incident that broke out in Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital in Nasiriyah, and the resulting deaths and injuries.
The Ministry affirmed that the Kingdom's stand and its full solidarity with the Republic of Iraq and the brotherly Iraqi people in this great affliction, expressing the Kingdom's sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the deceased, to Iraq's leadership, government and people, with its wishes for a speedy recovery for the injured.
Earlier, On Monday evening a large fire broke out in Al-Naqa Center at Imam Al-Hussein Teaching Hospital for the treatment of covid-19 patients in the city of Nasiriyah, southern Iraq, as the fire resulted the martyrdom of 64 people and the injury of 50 others.
