Speaker of Parliament Muhammad al-Halbousi and US Ambassador to Iraq Matthew Tueller stressed today, Thursday, the importance of continuing the strategic dialogue between the two countries.
The media office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives said in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, received the American ambassador to Iraq, Matthew Tueller," noting that "during the meeting, bilateral relations and the continued strengthening of security and economic cooperation between the two countries were discussed. and joint action to confront the challenges of terrorism.
He added, "The meeting discussed stressing the importance of continuing the strategic dialogue between the two countries, leading to a strategic partnership in various fields that serves common interests, and contributes to supporting Iraq to achieve development and stability," noting that "the meeting discussed developments in the regional and international situations, and a number of issues of interest".
