PM: Electing a Speaker of Parliament achieves political stability

PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani met on Monday MPs of the Bloc of the National Alnahj Alliance.

During the meeting, discussions focused on the relationship between the executive and legislative branches, emphasizing the importance of fostering and enhancing their cooperation and integration, according to a statement by the PM Media Office - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

The discussion also addressed advancing key legislation to support the government’s plans in implementing the priorities of its program, contributing to improved services for citizens.

l-Sudani highlighted the importance of electing a Speaker of the Parliament, considering it "a vital constitutional requirement that ensures political and social stability and enables Parliament to carry out its legislative and oversight duties."
