Iraqi Parliament has set next Wednesday as the date for electing the President of the Republic as it adjourned its session to next Monday after it finished the first reading of the Emergency Support Law for Food Security and Development, the Parliament said in a statement.
The parliament has completed the first reading of the draft law on emergency support for food security and development , referred by the government in order to achieve food security, reduce poverty, achieve financial stability in light of urgent global developments, continue to provide services to citizens, raise the standard of living, create job opportunities, and achieve the maximize benefits for Iraqis from state resources and resume working on stalled projects, and achieve new important projects, the statement added.
