A force from the military intelligence managed to arrest four Syrians who tried to cross towards Iraqi borders.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), SMC stated on Thursday that the Intelligence Department of West Nineveh Operations Command enabled to spot via thermal cameras a movement of a group of people in the Syrian side trying to cross the borders barrier towards Iraq.
SMC added, accordingly, the detachments of the Military Intelligence Division in the 15th Division moved, in cooperation with ground forces from the 2nd Regiment, the 71st Infantry Brigade, and an ambush was set up and their movements were monitored.
SMC continued, as soon as they crossed the border, they were arrested, and it turned out that they were a family of four people who hold Syrian citizenship.
They were handed over to the concerned authorities to take legal actions against them.
