The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations in Iraq, Jeanine Plasschaert, promised today, Thursday, to provide full support to the family of the martyr Ihab Al-Wazzny, while indicating that the United Nations mission will not remain silent about what happened to the bereaved .
The correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA) said, "The Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Jeanine Plaschaert, visited the family of the martyr Ihab Al-Wazzny in the holy province of Karbala and listened to the demands of his relatives."
Plasschaert confirmed that "her coming to Karbala is to offer condolences to the martyr's family," noting that "accountability and justice are important for Iraqis so that their confidence in the state's apparatus is not shaken."
She added, "We will not remain silent about what happened to the victims while we search for the truth," expressing "full support for the martyr's family."
For its part, the family of the martyr Wazzny Plasschaert demanded that its voice be conveyed to the international community and the need to expedite the detection of the perpetrators so that they may receive their just punishment.
