Basra Operations Commander, Major General Ali Abdul-Hussein al-Majidi, confirmed that the rate of tribal conflicts has started to count down.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), al-Majidi said that the security forces have tightened their control in most areas that witness recurring tribal conflicts, adding that new plans have been developed to maneuver in order to close the escape routes of the suspected and outlaws.
al-Majidi also mentioned that a force of Basra Operations Commandos was able to arrest four wanted in the Al-Hartha district, two of them accused according to Article 406, as well as confiscating light weapons and various ammunitions.
