Joint operations: Investigations targeting diplomatic missions have reached important results

     The Joint Operations Command confirmed, today, Thursday, that the Ministry of Interior's investigations with terrorists involved in targeting diplomatic missions will be presented to citizens after their completion, while it described the targeting of diplomatic missions and Baghdad Airport as terrorist acts.

     Vowing to pursue all those involved in these acts of sabotage.


     The spokesman for the joint operations, Major General Tahsin al-Khafaji, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): “The Joint Operations Command issued a statement condemning the attack on diplomatic missions, and this crime was described as a terrorist crime, and whoever carried out this cowardly act and act must be brought to justice.  ".


     Fast investigative action


     He added, "The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa Al-Kadhmi, directed to suspend the work of the force that was in control of security in that area, as well as conduct a series of investigations with it, to find out how this breach occurred?


     The arrest of those involved in the accident


     He confirmed, "There is a conversation with Minister of Interior Othman Al-Ghanimi, in which he confirmed the arrest of persons related to terrorist acts that targeted diplomatic missions."


     He explained, "The arrest of people related to this cowardly terrorist act gives a message to the terrorists that whatever they can escape, they must be pursued, tracked down and imprisoned, so that they receive their fair penalty."


     Investigative results


     He pointed out, "The investigative results have reached large and important results, and after the investigations are completed, they will be presented to the citizens, because this is a public opinion issue."

     Major General Tahseen stressed by saying: "This action indicates deliberately harming Iraq's interests and damaging Iraq's foreign relations, at a time when we are in dire need of international relations, as well as in dire need to develop the economy and solve various crises, so whoever does this work is trying to  It harms Iraq, the people of Iraq, and the interests of Iraq.      He explained, "The Operations Command continues its work in pursuit of terrorists and outlaws, and the confiscation of unlicensed weapons, and the greatest proof of this is what we do in terms of security operations in each of the governorates of Basra, Maysan and Baghdad, which resulted in the arrest of hundreds of drug traffickers,"  The owners of organized crime, among them were also terrorists, and the confiscation of uncontrolled weapons, all of this falls within the framework of maintaining security.      Controlling of border crossings
