Major General Rasoul: Security Forces investigate targeting Peshmerga in Dohuk

The spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasoul, confirmed , Saturday, that the security forces have conducted an investigation into targeting the Peshmerga forces in Dohuk.
 
Rasoul said, in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We condemn the cowardly terrorist attack on an Iraqi military unit within the Peshmerga forces on the way to Mateen Mountain in Dohuk province, by non-Iraqi armed groups”.
He continued, "We offer our condolences to the families of the five martyrs , and we pray for the recovery for those whom injured in the accident."
Rasoul concluded the statement by assuring that Iraqi armed forces reiterate their assertion on imposing the sovereignty over the entire Iraq, stressing the constitutional principle by not to allow Iraq to be a launching pad for any attack on its neighbors."
