Baghdad - INA
The national boxing team won, on Friday, three medals in the recently concluded "Victory Day" international championship in the Belarusian capital Minsk.
In a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), Secretary of the Federation Ali Abdul Zahra said, "The team participated with only four players, and therefore what has been achieved is a good thing and calls for pride, especially since everyone knows the length of the interruption and distance from the atmosphere of competition due to the pandemic conditions."
"The tournament is a preparatory station for the next Asian championship, which it is hoped will be held in the emirate of Dubai at the end of this month," he added.
"The players who won bronze medals in Belarus are Moamen Abdel-Al, 60 kg, and Khalil Ibrahim Khalil 81 kg, and Ali Hussein Idan +91," he added.
