The President of the Republic, Barham Salih stressed the need to hold accountable those who neglected the Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital accident .

Saleh said in a tweet on his Twitter account that was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

He added, "Without conducting a comprehensive and serious review of the performance of institutions to ensure that such disasters do not recur."

Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi directed an extraordinary session of the Council of Ministers to be held today, against the backdrop of the tragic accident at Ibn Al-Khatib Hospital, and directed a declaration of mourning for the lives of the hospital's victims .
