The head of the Iraqi-Egyptian-Jordanian Coordination Committee, Minister of Planning Khaled Battal Al-Najm, confirmed today, Tuesday, that the visit of Foreign Minister Fouad Hussein to Egypt comes as a continuation of the decisions of the tripartite summit, while indicating that a ministerial delegation will prepare for the visit of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhmi to Egypt.
The head of the Iraqi-Egyptian-Jordanian Coordination Committee, Minister of Planning Khaled Battal Al-Najm, said during the joint weekly press conference with the spokesman for the prime minister, which was attended by the correspondent of the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the visit of the Iraqi Foreign Minister to Egypt comes as a continuation of the decisions of the tripartite summit that brought together a prime minister. Iraq, the King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, "indicating that" this visit comes as an introduction to a high-level ministerial delegation that will be headed by us and accompanied by a group of ministers in the near future to the Arab Republic of Egypt to prepare for the visit of the Egyptian prime minister to Iraq also in a short time.
Al-Najm added, "There are many joint projects and prospects for cooperation between Iraq and Egypt, including those related to electric power, pharmaceutical industries and agriculture, in addition to immigration, reconstruction and housing, and there are unique experiences of the Arab Republic of Egypt in the construction sector and in the companies operating in the road sector, we hope to benefit from these." Experiences to enhance the expertise the Iraqi engineers have to complete some projects, especially the stalled projects that were delayed due to the Daesh terrorist events after 2015 and the subsequent drop in oil prices.
