The Ministry of Interior revealed a study on restructuring law enforcement forces at the direction of the commander-in-chief of the armed forces.
The director of the Ministry's Relations and Information Department, Major General Saad Maan, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA) today, Monday, "There is a quick objective study related to restructuring the law enforcement forces based on the direction of the Commander in Chief and a personal follow-up by the Minister of Interior."
He added, "Reconsidering the formation of law enforcement forces means that a number of measures will be taken on this issue."
On Sunday, the Prime Minister directed the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mustafa al-Kadhmi, to refer the commander of the law enforcement forces to the command and reconsider this formation, against the background of the assault by a group of employees of the leadership of the law enforcement forces.
