The Director of the Erbil Airport, Talar Faeq, confirmed that all flights at the airport are smoothly ongoing.
"The air navigation traffic at Erbil International Airport is running smoothly and in a natural way, and there is no delay in the flight times," Faeq said to the Iraqi News Agency INA.
The Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan region announced earlier, that there are no human casualties or material losses recorded during the attack of Iranian missiles in Erbil.
The Security Media Cell – SMC also confirmed that the missile attack on the US bases did not result in any losses within the Iraqi forces.
"From 0145 until 0215 on the 8th of January, 2020 Iraq was attacked by 22 rockets," included a statement of SMC to Iraqi News Agency INA.
Around 17 rockets attacked Ayn al-Asad air base, including two that did not explode in Hitan, west of Heet, in addition to 5 rockets in Erbil. All rockets fell on the headquarters of the coalition, according to the statement.
