The Parliamentary Bloc affirmed today, Wednesday, that the American attack on the headquarters of the PMF affected the discussions of choosing the prime minister.
The Representative of the bloc Hassan Khalati told the Iraqi News Agency: "The American attack on the popular mobilization forces sites is a flagrant violation of Iraqi sovereignty in light of the complex circumstances the country is living in with the resignation of the government and the difficulty of assigning a new candidate."
He pointed out that "the American aggression complicates matters further and is considered a turning point in Iraqi-American relations, and that would complicate the political scene and hinder the unification of efforts and consultations in assigning the candidate for prime minister."
Khallati indicated that "there is a difference of opinion on this matter, but it casts a shadow over the unification of efforts in the path of forming the new government."It is noteworthy that the number of martyrs and wounded as a result of the American attack, which targeted the sites of the 45th and 46th Brigade, amounted to 27 martyrs and 51 wounded.
The parliamentary wisdom bloc had stressed earlier the need to work to cancel the security agreement signed with the United States of America, while the Alliance walked out that the new year will be the year to vote on the removal of foreign forces.
