The Ministry of Migration and Displacement confirmed, today, Saturday, that recommendations were submitted to Prime Minister Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani to return the displaced Iraqis from Al-Hol camp who are not involved in security issues, while indicating that no problems are preventing the voluntary return of the displaced.

The Deputy Minister of Migration, Karim Al-Nouri, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "A meeting was held for the Supreme Committee formed in the presence of the National Security Advisor, the Joint Operations Advisor, the Intelligence Service, and the Ministry of Migration to provide an assessment of the previous stage," noting that "the recommendations for the next stage were submitted to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani for consideration, approval, or ratification, and to develop a comprehensive vision for the return of the remaining Iraqis in Al-Hol camp who are not involved in security issues to the Al-Amal Center for Community Rehabilitation.".

He added that "the ministry is working hard to end this file and the file of the displaced," indicating that "the changes that are occurring require us to take a quick stand to end this file."

He explained that "the challenges were not many, and some problems were resolved and mitigated, and no real problems were preventing the return; because the return is voluntary," adding, "We hope that the next stage will be the stage of Iraq without camps or displaced persons."
