The Ministry of Migration and Displacement-MOMD counted on Tuesday, the number of displaced people in Al-Jada'a and Al-Hol camps, and indicated that 300 families have been returned from Al-Jada'a camp to their areas of residence.

"Al-Jada'a camp is divided into two sides (Jada'a 1) and (Jada'a 2), as the first includes displaced families from al-Hol, whose number reached 603,"said Deputy Minister of MOMD Karim Al-Nouri in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (INA)." 300 displaced families were returned to their homes after completing the security check and coordinating with their families and community leaders”.

He added that "MOMD's tasks are limited to relief and shelter and has nothing to do with security procedures and security checks for families," noting that "the ministry has an intention to end the file of the IDPs in Iraq."

Al-Nouri continued, "During the period of Prime Minister Mustafa Al-Kadhimi, MOMD managed to close 50 camps, and only 26 camps remained in Kurdistan region," explaining that "The ministry hopes that KRG will cooperate to end this file as soon as possible."

He pointed out that "Al-Hol camp includes 70,000 displaced people from all countries of the world, including 29,000 Iraqis."
