Iraqi Forum of Energy 2019 kicked off on Saturday, under the auspices of the Prime Minister Adel Abdul Mahdi.
The first session of the forum agenda included a panel to discuss Energy, Regional Economy and Geographical Policy and was headed by Ziad Daoud - Chief Economist (Middle East) - Bloomberg
The panel included the Iraqi Minister of Oil Thamir Ghadhban, General Secretary of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries – OPEC Mohammed Barkindo, Siemens CEO Joe Caesar and serves as the Chairman of ACWA Power International Mohammad Abunayyan.
“Oil revenues are the main revenues that cover the majority percentage of Iraq revenues and we are working on improving it,” said Ghadhban.
