Iraqi Ambassador to Russia Haider al-Athary met the Russian President’s Envoy to Middle-East and North-Africa, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikhail Bogdanov to discuss mutual relations and the recent political update in the region.
During the meeting, both also discussed the points of views regarding the recent developments in the Arab Gulf and the issue of collective security as well as counter-terrorism in Iraq and Syria.
The ambassador asserted the cooperation between Iraq and Russia by the quarter centre position that includes Iraq, Russian, Iran and Syria, is ongoing to counter-terrorism in the region.
