The first deputy speaker of the House of Representatives Hassan Karim al-Kaabi stated that the House of Representatives was keen to speed up legislation supporting women, the family and childhood. This came during his meeting with the elite coalition to support women, his media office said in a statement received. The Parliament, in its current session, was keen to speed up legislation supporting women, the family and children, especially as the Women's Committee is one of the active committees.
He added that the meeting discussed a number of files related to the importance of re-Ministry of Women or the establishment of a new formation of women, family and children, because of the importance of the existence of such a formation within the Iraqi system.
