INA, Baghdad-
The General Customs Authority announced on Wednesday that the Trebel border crossing is registering a daily revenue of over 1,25 b. Iraqi Denars.
In a statement by the Authority, copy of which received by the INA, explained that ‘the revenues realized by the General Customs Authority enter the Ministry of Finance account in the Central Bank of Iraq, which is subject to audit by the Board of Finance Monitors. This should mean it is only second to oil revenues in supporting Iraq’s general budget.’
