Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani returned to Baghdad today, Friday, after a visit to Turkey.
The Prime Minister's media office stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani returned to Baghdad after a visit to Turkey, during which he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at the Vahid al-Din Palace in the Turkish city of Istanbul."
Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani discussed with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan today, Friday, unifying positions regarding the dangerous developments in the region.
"The two sides held talks that included reviewing the latest developments in the region, and the increasing threat to peace and stability posed by the Zionist entity, with its ongoing aggression against Gaza and Lebanon, and the attacks that have targeted several countries in the region."
"Al-Sudani and President Erdogan discussed unifying positions towards these dangerous developments and the challenge ıt represent, and urged Arab and Islamic countries and international and UN organizations to support efforts and endeavors aimed at a ceasefire, facilitating relief operations and delivering aid to those affected by the aggression, launching reconstruction efforts, and protecting the Palestinian presence on its land."
Accordıng to the statement "the meeting witnessed discussions on bilateral relations between the two countries, and ways to activate memoranda of understanding and joint agreements in various economic and development fields."
