Justice Minister Faruq Amin Al-Shwani on Sunday confirmed the possibility of signing legal agreements with Indonesia and memorandums of understanding in the field of exchange of convicts and information on those wanted for the judiciary.
During his meeting with the Indonesian ambassador to Baghdad, Bhabaj Antarexo, Al-Shwani said, The Justice Ministry is ready to develop relations with its Indonesian counterpart in all fields of common interest, as well as exchanging experiences between the two countries.The possibility of signing legal agreements between the two countries and memorandums of understanding in the field of the exchange of convicts and information on those wanted for the judiciary,he said.There is an Iraqi community in Indonesia and there is an Indonesian community in Iraq, which necessitates the attention of both communities as a priority for the governments of the two countries and their needs to reach a common legal agreement governing the relations of the two communities in the two friendly countries.
