Directorate of Water Resources in Wassit province denied, on Saturday, any danger of the rise in Tigris levels, pointing out that the situation is under control.
Kareem Sarhan, assistant director of water resources in Wassit told INA that the situation is under control and no risks in the province despite the noticeable rise in water levels of Tigris there, but water levels did not reach the ground level yet, asserting that the central government and the crisis cell are exerting their efforts to follow up the floods status and deter the dangers.
Sarhan said that formation of the ministry of water resources working of two axes, the first is to save citizens' lives and the second is how to benefit from these huge amounts of waters.
