Al-Sudani Participates in a Dialogue Seminar Held by Chatham House in London

    Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani participated in a dialogue seminar Chatham House in London.
     
    Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency INA that Prime Minister Mohammed S. Al-Sudani participated yesterday, Wednesday, in a dialogue seminar with a group of researchers, academics, and experts organized by the Royal Institute of International Affairs (Chatham House) in London. This was held on the sidelines of his official visit to the United Kingdom.
     
    The statement read “In his address during the seminar, Prime Minister Al-Sudani emphasized that his government has embarked on a program aimed at implementing comprehensive reforms across developmental, service-oriented, and infrastructure sectors to rebuild the country and improve citizens’ lives. Key initiatives include combating corruption and reforming the financial and banking systems to enhance the business and investment environment.”
     
    It also said “The Prime Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to supporting the private sector as a central objective of its program, aiming to foster economic growth through genuine public-private partnerships to achieve set goals.”
     
    The statement further said “The Prime Minister stressed the adoption of a principle prioritizing national interests and building relations based on mutual respect and shared benefits. He affirmed that Iraq’s sovereignty and the interests of its people are non-negotiable.”
     
    According to the statement “Reiterating Iraq’s pivotal role in the region, Mr. Al-Sudani underscored the country’s commitment to supporting stability and de-escalation through balanced relations, especially with Iran and the United States. He pointed out the need for collaborative efforts to ensure security throughout the region, including supporting Syria’s unity and people, stabilizing Lebanon, and maintaining calm in Palestinian territories.”
