Media Office of the Prime Minister said in a statement obtained by the Iraqi News Agency INA that the Iraq Britain Business Council (IBBC) held a dialogue seminar yesterday, Wednesday, in London.
The statement read “The Iraqi delegation was headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Mr. Fuad Hussein, with the participation of Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Mr. Hayan Abdul Ghani, the Head of the prime Minister Advisory Commission and Technical Advisor to the Prime Minister, the Iraqi Ambassador to the United Kingdom, and several Iraqi and British business leaders.”
The statement also said that “In his opening speech, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of stimulating and supporting the private sector in trade and enhancing cooperation with its British counterpart. This comes in line with the government’s approach to support the Iraqi private sector and expand its collaboration with reputable international companies.”
It further said that “The seminar included bilateral meetings between the private sectors of both countries to discuss strengthening cooperation and partnerships in various fields. Additionally, opportunities available to British companies to enter the Iraqi market were presented.”
