The Supreme Judicial Council directed the competent investigative courts today, Thursday, to tighten the procedures against those who violate the law by assaulting the staff of health institutions and destroying their furniture and equipment, stressing that the perpetrators of this crime will be charged the value of the furniture, equipment and buildings that are tampered with or destroyed.
A statement issued by the Supreme Judicial Council, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated that "the Supreme Judicial Council held its second session headed by the President of the Federal Court of Cassation, Judge Faeq Zidan."
It added that "the Council discussed the preparations related to the celebration of Iraqi Judiciary Day, where all preparations were reviewed to ensure that the event is organized in a manner that reflects the importance of this occasion."
The Council stressed that "the competent investigative courts should tighten procedures against those who violate the law by assaulting the staff of health institutions and destroying their furniture and equipment," stressing that "the perpetrators of this crime should be held liable for the value of the furniture, equipment and buildings that were tampered with or destroyed."
