Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Fuad Hussein, stressed today, Wednesday, to the British National Security Advisor, Jonathan Powell, the necessity of monitoring the movements of ISIS terrorist gangs, pointing out the importance of addressing the conditions of prisons under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein met with the British National Security Advisor, Jonathan Powell."
The statement added, "During the meeting, a group of issues related to bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom were discussed, in addition to the general security situation in the Middle East region, and developments related to Syria and its effects on neighboring countries."
The Foreign Minister stressed - according to the statement - the "necessity of monitoring the movements of ISIS terrorist gangs," pointing out, "the importance of addressing the conditions of prisons under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces and the danger of the possibility of ISIS elements escaping from these prisons."
