MOFA Expresses Solidarity with China Following the Strong Earthquake in the Tibet Region

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs-MOFA expressed on Wednesday, its solidarity with China following the powerful earthquake that struck the Tibet region in the Himalayas.

A statement from the ministry, received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), stated, “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq expresses its deep sympathy and solidarity with the friendly People’s Republic of China following the strong earthquake that hit the Tibet region in the Himalayas in the southwestern part of the country, resulting in a significant number of casualties and injuries, as well as substantial material losses.”

The statement added, “While the ministry conveys its sincere condolences and sympathy to the friendly Chinese government and people, it shares in the grief of the victims’ families and loved ones in the face of this great tragedy, wishing a speedy recovery for the injured and continued stability and peace for the Republic of China and its people.”
