PM: Baghdad, the Arab Tourism Capital would not have been without the Iraqi sacrifices

    INA - BAGHDAD

    PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani congratulated on Tuesday the Arab Tourism Organization’s - ATO selection of the beloved capital, Baghdad, the city of civilization, history and culture, to be the Arab Tourism Capital for the year 2025.

    "We extend our heartfelt congratulations to all Iraqis on the selection of our beloved capital, Baghdad—a city of profound civilization, history, and culture—as the Arab Tourism Capital for 2025, a prestigious title awarded by the Arab Tourism Organization (ATO)," said the PM in a post on his account on X - followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

    He added, "We express our gratitude to everyone who contributed to this achievement and reaffirm our commitment to advancing the programs and projects launched by our government since assuming executive duties. These initiatives aim to enhance service standards and modernize the capital’s infrastructure to a level that reflects its historical and cultural stature and that of Iraq as a whole."

    "This accomplishment would not have been possible without the immense sacrifices of the Iraqi people and the monumental victory over terrorism, which have ensured security and societal stability. Building on this foundation, we have worked to elevate Iraq’s global standing through a policy of openness and effective diplomacy, which remains a cornerstone of our government’s approach to international engagement," he included.
