The Association of Travel and Tourism Companies held a workshop to discuss the work of the tourism sector in Iraq, in the presence of the Prime Minister’s Advisor for Education, Tourism and Antiquities, Qahtan al-Jubouri, while the latter confirmed that the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani focus on supporting the private sector, especially the tourism sector.
The Association stated, in a statement to the Iraqi News Agency (AS), that “the Administrative and General Authority of the Association of Travel and Tourism Companies in Iraq received at its headquarters in the capital, Baghdad, Qahtan al-Jubouri, Advisor to the Prime Minister for Education, Tourism and Antiquities Affairs, and general directors from the Tourism Authority and the competent authorities, in the presence of A large number of directors of travel and tourism companies from various Iraqi governorates, with the participation of specialists in the economic and tourism aspect through a detailed tourism workshop.
The advisor to the Prime Minister, Qahtan al-Jubouri, said, “Today’s workshop was held at the association’s headquarters, and our presence was among the directors of the relevant travel and tourism companies in order to identify the most important obstacles and problems facing the work of the companies and to hear in detail from this important sector in the tourism reality in Iraq, and to work To convey the full picture to the Office of the Prime Minister and the relevant authorities in order to advance the tourism sector and according to the directives of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, which focuses on supporting the private sector in various fields, the most important of which is the tourism sector and the travel and tourism companies sector in Iraq.
For his part, the head of the Association of Travel and Tourism Companies in Iraq, Haider Al-Dujaili, said: “Today we received the advisor to the Prime Minister, a number of general directors in the Tourism Authority and the relevant security authorities, and a number of specialists in the tourism economic aspect, in order to present the most important problems and obstacles facing The work of travel and tourism companies.
