PM Muhammed S. Al-Sudani met on Monday with Hazim Tahsin Beg, the Emir of Yazidis in Iraq and the World, and his delegation.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister affirmed that the Yazidis are an integral and authentic component of Iraq, emphasizing the need to work toward justice and compensation for the sacrifices they made during the war against Daesh terrorist gangs, according to a statement by the PM Media Office - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
The Prime Minister stated, "The government is committed to supporting the Yazidi community through implementing service and economic projects in their areas, ensuring the return of Yazidi IDPs to their homes, and continuing efforts to uncover the fate of missing Yazidis."
He stressed the importance of resolving this issue "due to its humanitarian, social, and legal implications."
