Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadhil discussed today, Monday, with a delegation from the Shanghai Chinese Company accelerating the implementation of combined cycle projects in gas stations.
The Ministry of Electricity stated in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "in order to enhance cooperation with leading international companies in the field of energy, Minister of Electricity Ziad Ali Fadhil chaired an expanded meeting today, Monday, with a delegation from the Shanghai Chinese Company, to follow up on the implementation of combined cycle projects in gas stations and steps to accelerate work."
"The meeting, which was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry for Production Affairs and a number of general managers, witnessed the discussion of four main axes that focused on the combined cycle projects implemented by Shanghai in a number of gas stations in the country, developing reliable maintenance mechanisms for generating units, and ensuring the smooth flow of equipment and spare parts, while emphasizing adherence to the specified timetables for completing work at Wasit Thermal Power Plant."
According to the statement "This meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry's comprehensive strategy to develop the electrical energy system and enhance its performance, in a way that ensures the sustainability of the service and improves its quality for citizens."
