Minister of Transportation Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi said on Thursday that the port of Al-Faw and the development road project are an economic gateway to Iraq and the region, while pointing out that the unlimited support of Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani enabled to overcome obstacles to complete the five berths of the port.
The Minister of Transport said in his speech during the receipt of the five berths of the large port of Faw from the Korean company executing the work and followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The port of Al-Faw is an important pillar in the diversification of the economy," pointing out that "thanks to the unlimited government support, those berths have been completed."
He added that "the port of Al-Faw is an important pillar in the diversification of the economy," noting that "the port of Faw and the road of development are an economic gateway to Iraq and the region."
He pointed out that "the unlimited support of Prime Minister Mohamed Shia Al-Sudani enabled to overcome obstacles to complete the berths," noting that "our government is intensifying its efforts to complete the projects of the Great Al-Faw Port and the Development Road within the specified time."
He continued: "We highly appreciate the great support of the Al-Sudani in order to achieve this great achievement and continue the work and successes in the various formations of our ministry," expressing "thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the employees in the General Company for Iraqi Ports for their sincerity and dedication to work on the completion of this project."
