The Arab Parliament called on the US President-elect Donald Trump today, Wednesday, to correct the course of the American position on the ongoing Zionist aggression on Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.
The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Ahmed Al-Yamahi, said: "The US President-elect Donald Trump must correct the course of the American position on the aggression of the Zionist occupation entity that has continued for more than a year against the Palestinian people in Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories," stressing that "the new US administration must assume its responsibility in lifting the injustice and suffering of the Palestinian people, by pressuring the occupation entity, and constructively cooperating with the institutions of the international community, foremost of which is the UN Security Council and the influential countries in order to implement the principles and rules of international law and international humanitarian law and stop the policy of double standards."
Al Yamahi stressed that "the Middle East region suffers from numerous crises and conflicts, the price of which is primarily paid by innocent civilians," emphasizing that "the United States of America, as a superpower and a pivotal state in the current global system, must have a positive role in implementing international legitimacy resolutions and cooperate constructively with Arab countries in order to work in order to achieve peace, security and just stability in the region."
