Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani congratulated President-elect Donald Trump, his Vice President James David Vance, and the American people on the success of the electoral process, while stressing Iraq's firm commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with the United States.

The Prime Minister said in a tweet on the "X" platform, which was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "We congratulate President-elect Donald Trump, his Vice President James David Vance, and the American people on the success of the electoral process.".

The Prime Minister affirmed "Iraq's firm commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with the United States based on mutual respect and common interests.".

He added: "We look forward to this new phase being the beginning of deepening cooperation between our two countries in various fields, which contributes to achieving sustainable development and benefits the two friendly peoples."
