Iraq won the presidency of the Arab Takeonejetsu Federation in its fifth term, during the meeting of the General Assembly of the Arab Takeonejetsu Federation, which was held in Duhok Governorate on the sidelines of the second World Open Takeonejetsu Championship, which took place from 11 to 15 of October.
According to a statement of the Olympic Committee received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), on Thursday, that "the elections were held with the aim of selecting new members to manage the Arab Federation after the end of the legal period of its fourth term and work to develop and expand the sport of Takeonejetsu in the Arab countries."
The statement added: "The elections, in which 13 Arab countries participated, were supervised by representatives of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, in addition to the committee that was formed with the approval of the General Assembly, which consisted of five members, a legal consultant, a representative of the Sports Federations Department of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, a representative of the Iraqi National Olympic Committee and two other members."
Mohamed Ibrahim Ali was chosen as Chairman, Abdul Rahman Ahmed Khalifa as First Vice President, Khamis Abdul Wahab Al-Naqri as Second Vice President, and Maad Hassan Ward, Mohammed Bin Amira, Mohammed Othman and Tawfiq Fakhri Ghanem as members of the Executive Committee.
