The Arab Fencing Federation announced that Iraq will be awarded the hosting of the Arab Fencing Championship, which will be start in Baghdad during the months of October and November of this year.

The head of the Iraqi Federation, Ziad Hassan, said in a statement to the ministry: The confidence of the Arab Federation in granting our “federation” the right to host these great Arab championships came unanimously by the members of the Executive Office of the Arab Federation, and it is a badge of honor and pride and evidence of the great position that Iraq's at all levels, explaining The competition will be held under the title Baghdad House of Arabs.

For its part, the Arab Federation praised the great role played by the Iraqi Federation in success of the programs and activities of the Arab Federation, which will reflect positively on the development of the game, whether in Iraq or in the Arab countries due to the importance of Iraqi fencing and the presence of many personalities with expertise in the field of the game.
