Northern Refineries clarifies about the explosion of war remnants outside its operating units

The Northern Refineries Company clarified on Saturday, regarding the explosion of war remnants outside its operating units.

The Director of the Public Relations and Media Department of the Northern Refineries, Wathiq Hamad Awad, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The explosion that occurred in the residential neighborhood of the Northern Refineries is an accidental incident resulting from a projectile from war remnants," noting that "the incident occurred outside the refinery's operational units."

He explained that "while the workers were laying the sidewalk during work, the war remnants exploded on them, resulting in two of them sustaining minor injuries and they were immediately transferred to the hospital."
