Dhi Qar Criminal Court sentenced on Sunday, a drug trafficker to life imprisonment for engaging in narcotics trade.
The Supreme Judicial Council's media center reported to the Iraqi News Agency (INA) that "the convicted individual was apprehended with one kilogram and fifty-two grams of a methamphetamine and aluminum sulfate mixture, along with 225 amphetamine tablets intended for trafficking and distribution among users."
The statement further noted that "the sentence was issued under Article 28, Clause 1 of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
