Anbar Criminal Court issued a life sentence against a drug dealer on Wednesday for the crime of drug trafficking.
The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) explained in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the convict was found in possession of forty-two thousand and ninety amphetamine pills with the intention of trading and selling them among users."
The statement added, "The ruling was issued in accordance with the provisions of Article 28/First of the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Law No. 50 of 2017."
