"In response to the statement of the supreme religious authority in Najaf Al-Ashraf, the department's staff, in addition to the Logistics Support Division, began today to receive in-kind and material donations through designated boxes placed in the courtyard of Aba Al-Fadhl Al-Abbas (peace be upon him) and its surroundings as well as between the two holy shrines under the title (Relief for the Lebanese people)," said the head of the Religious Affairs Department at the shrine, Sheikh Salah Al-Khafaji, to Al-Abbas Holy Shrine website - followed up by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.

He added that "the Husseini Rituals and Processions Department has launched an extensive campaign to receive donations allocated for the same purpose," noting that "in-kind and material donations will be stored in special warehouses, while secure paths have been organized to ensure that donations reach Lebanon."
