Minister of Transport, Razzaq Muhaibis Al-Saadawi, announced on Tuesday the establishment of the Joint Maritime Commission between Iraq and Britain.
"We have opened several lines for mass transportation in the capital, Baghdad, and the governorates. We have important projects within our ministerial program, and we are holding important discussions with the British side to restore flights of the Baghdad-London airline," the Ministry of Transport said in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
Al-Saadawi noted, "Next year will witness the opening of Nasiriyah and Mosul international airports according to the latest international specifications," indicating that the file of lifting the European ban on the national carrier is among the priorities of the Iraqi government. "We are working hard to return to European airspace."
