'A lifetime free pass', a mother gives birth to a baby at Brussels Metro station

A woman gave birth at the Brussels Metro station of Beekkant, in Molenbeek, as announced by Brussels STIB on social media.

The Brussels public transport company described it as a unique event on their metro network. During a trip, a brave mother delivered her baby at the Beekkant station, assisted by her family, emergency services, and staff.

STIB congratulated the parents and the colleagues who came to their aid. They also announced a special gift for the unusual birth, a lifetime free pass for their new little STIB star.

This memorable occasion is one the STIB says they "will never forget".
