The Minister of Migration and Displacement - MMD, Evan Faeq Jabro, announced on Thursday, the return of 599 IDPs who were residing in Harsham camp, Erbil to their original areas of residence in Nineveh and Salah al-Din, Iraq.
"Al-Baaj, Al-Karama, Al-Hamdaniya, Tarjla village, Bashiqa, Bartella, Al-Salam neighborhood, Mosul, Rajm Hadid, Al-Zahraa neighborhood, Tal Al-Ruman, Al-Nour neighborhood, Al-Tanak neighborhood, Sinjar district, Barbaroush neighborhood in Nineveh and Balad district in Salah al-Din governorate) witnessed the return of IDP families who were residing in Harsham camp, Erbil, in cooperation with the authorities of the region," said Jabro in a statement - received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA.
Jabro pointed out, "There is a continuous desire of IDP families in the Kurdistan camps to return to their original areas of residence voluntarily," directing the ministry's staff to include those who have recently returned from the camps with financial grants, relief aid and durable goods.
